Dr Emma Hopkins
Clinical Psychologist (DClinPsy, BScPsych)

I qualified as a Clinical Psychologist in 2021 having already spent nearly 20 years working with children, teenagers and adults with a range of complex mental health difficulties. I am registered with the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) and the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC) UK. My aim in therapy is to connect with the person, allowing them to feel safe and heard, supporting them to make sense of their lives.

I provide a calm and comfortable space for people to explore their difficulties, using evidence-based theory to structure and support their emerging story. This allows us to work together to gently and safely unravel tangled elements of their past, freeing them to move forward into the future they see for themselves.

I can help with:
Anxiety, depression, fears and phobias, obsessive compulsive disorder, panic disorder, attachment and inter-personal relationship difficulties, emotional difficulties, recovery from trauma, PTSD, recovery from psychosis.
